Popular questions
How should I take metformin?

Metformin is usually taken with or right after a meal to reduce the chance of stomach upset. Take it at the same times each day as prescribed, and do not double up if you miss a dose — just take the next one as normal.

Mild tummy symptoms often settle within a couple of weeks. If they persist, or you feel unusually unwell, talk to your doctor or our pharmacist.

How can I manage my diabetes day to day?

Good daily control combines regular blood-glucose monitoring, taking your medication as prescribed, balanced meals and regular activity. Keeping a simple log helps you and your doctor spot patterns.

We supply glucometers, test strips and medicines, and can set up refill reminders so you never run out. Seek advice promptly for very high or very low readings.

How do I use a glucometer correctly?

Wash and dry your hands, insert a fresh test strip, and use a new lancet to prick the side of a fingertip. Apply the blood to the strip and wait for the reading, then record it with the time and whether it was before or after eating.

Store strips properly and check they are in date. Our pharmacist can show you the technique and help you understand your numbers.
