How Blum Pharmacy collects, uses and protects your personal data under the Data Protection Act, 2019.
Your data controller is Blum Pharmacy. For any privacy matter, contact us at care@blumpharmacy.co.ke or +254700000000.
Your name and contact details; delivery addresses; order and payment records; prescriptions and, where you provide them, health details such as conditions and allergies; and how you use our website. Health data is treated as sensitive personal data and processed only with your explicit consent or where necessary to dispense your medicines safely.
To fulfil your orders and dispense medicines (performance of a contract); to verify prescriptions and advise you safely (your explicit consent and our legal duties as a pharmacy); to meet record-keeping obligations under the Pharmacy and Poisons Act; and, only where you opt in, to send you reminders and offers.
We keep dispensing and prescription records for as long as the law requires us to. Other personal data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to be informed; to access your data; to have it corrected; to have it erased (subject to our record-keeping duties); to restrict or object to processing, including opting out of marketing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time.
You can exercise most of these yourself from your account — download a copy of your data, update your details, manage your consent, or request deletion:
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, hold your cart and remember your delivery area. We do not sell your data or use it for cross-site advertising.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, contact us first at care@blumpharmacy.co.ke. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC), Kenya.
